List of Responsibilities for Morning Safety Patrol Members:
- Arrive at school by 7:18. Enter through the front door of the building. DO NOT get dropped off in the teacher's parking lot or enter through the side door of the school.
- Grab a vest, cones/safety man/flags as your assigned duty. You must wait for an adult to escort you out to Safety Patrol.
- Stand on your designated spot, and help duty teachers in assisting students loading/unloading from cars when the car comes to a complete stop. Stand at least 4 steps back from the red curb to ensure you are at a safe distance from the cars.
- Always make eye contact with the driver to ensure strong communication and greet.
- The morning safety patrol duty will end with the bell at 7:45 am per dismissing adult.
- Report to your designated safety patrol area no earlier than 2:45. You will not need to leave class early to get to safety patrol on time.
- Stand at least 4 steps back from the red curb to ensure you are at a safe distance from the cars. Assist with helping students into their cars once the car is at a complete stop.
- Make sure you greet and smile.
- The afternoon duty will end when all car riders are picked up, usually around 3:00.
